Plouffe Gives USA #1 Seed
Twins SS prospect Trevor Plouffe
certainly has shown some pop in his bat throughout his minor league career,
even when he was really struggling. On Monday, Plouffe
hit a two out, two strike walk off home run to give Team USA a 4-3 win over Team Australia. He added another RBI earlier in the
game. The win gives Team USA the number one seed as the teams head to the
third and final round of the World Cup.
Here are the final eight
teams that will play in Italy for the World Cup championship. USA (Pool G #1), Cuba (Pool F #3), Puerto Rico (Pool F #2),
Venezuela (Pool F #4), the Netherlands (Pool F #1), Australia (Pool G #2),
Canada (Pool G #3) and Chinese Taipei (Pool G #4). Here is a reminder of
the Twins prospects remaining in the tournament:
