Congratulations
Barry Bonds!
Already 2-2 with a single and a double in the game, Barry Bonds just hit Home Run #756 of his amazing baseball career on a 3-2 pitch with one out in the bottom of the 5th inning off of Mike Bacsik of the Washington Nationals. It was a no-doubter It is 10:51 p.m. in the central time zone. Goosebumps is all I can say! That is so awesome! Bonds hit a ball deep over the wall in right centerfield. What a moment!! Willie Mays just came on the field and the two embraced! Mays grabbed a microphone and handed it to Bonds. Then on the video board, Hank Aaron congratulated Bonds. It was a nice speech. Then Bonds thanked the San Francisco crowd, his teammates, his family and the Nationals for their understanding and support. He then thanked his dad for everything, and that was it. He went back to the bench where he got a hand shake from Giants' owner Peter McGowan who has been anything but supportive of Bonds despite the fact that he has made a lot of money solely because of him.
I don't care what anyone says, but witnessing history is absolutely incredible! Barry Bonds is without question the best all-around baseball player I have ever seen! I was happy that Bonds showed enough class in his speech to not mention the pathetic Bud Selig!
