Garnett Trade?
Remember back in the day when this site was more than just baseball. I would write about TV shows and movies I had watched. I would also write a lot about the Timberwolves. This may be a short posting, but I just have to post on it. It appears that Kevin McHale is about to pull the string on a deal to send Kevin Garnett to the Boston Celtics. The Timberwolves would get forward Al Jefferson, point guard and Stephon Marbury's cousin Sebastian Telfair, G/F Al Green, C Theo Ratliff (and his contract) and at least one first round draft pick. That is a lot better than some of the rumors I have heard. It probably is a good move for the advancement possibilities of the Wolves. The Celtics now have a core of Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce which makes them a playoff contender again.
I hate to see Kevin Garnett traded, although I do understand the fiscal need to do it. Garnett has been everything that the team, the organization, the city, the state and the NBA could have asked. If he has one negative, it is his unselfishness. Maybe to a fault, but now he has go-to scorers which will make his unselfishness a very good thing. I've always disliked the Celtics, but now I will become a big fan!
I know... many are annoyed if I talk about anything other than baseball here, so I will keep this short. But, if you do have any thoughts, please feel free to share them here.
