Just wanted to post a quick posting on the minor league games played on Sunday. So, that's all you'll find here. Please let me know what more you might like to read in the minor league updates.

Twins Minor League Updates

ROCHESTER REPORT
Sunday
Rochester 3, Durham 9 Jason Pridie hit his third homer in two games against his former team, but it was not a good game for the Red Wings. The homer was Pridie's eighth of the year. Sergio Santos went 2-4 with his 24th double. Randy Ruiz hit his 26th double. Brian Duensing started and gave up four runs on six hits in four innings. He walked four and struck out four. Casey Daigle went the next 2.2 innings and gave up three runs (1 earned) on one hit and one walk. He struck out four. Carmen Cali gave up two runs (1 earned) on three hits in just 1/3 of an inning. Philip Humber struck out one in his scoreless inning.

 

NEW BRITAIN NEWS
Sunday
New Britain 5, Portland 4 Yohan Pino improved to 3-3 in this game. In five innings, he gave up three runs on six hits. He walked one and struck out six. Of the six hits, two were home runs. Armando Gabino came in and gave up one run on five hits in three innings. He struck out four. Ben Julianel recorded his 20th save with a scoreless ninth. He gave up two hits, but he struck out two. Erik Lis went 2-4 with his 10th home run and three RBI. Danny Valencia went 2-4 with his seventh double. Brian Dinkelman was also 2-4 and stole his second base.

 

FT MYERS MEMOS
Sunday
- Game 1 Miracle 1, Jupiter 0 Oswaldo Sosa was better again in this game. He threw five shutout innings and gave up just one hit. He still walked three, something he needs to work on, and struck out two. Carlos Gutierrez made his first pro appearance and struck out two in a scoreless inning. Blair Erickson improved to 3-0 with an inning in which he struck out the side. The Miracle managed just three hits. In fact, the game winning run didn't even involve a hit. Edward Ovalle was hit by a pitch. Juan Portes sacrificed him to second base. Ovalle stole third base and scored the game's lone run when the throw went into left field. Yangervis Solarte went 1-1 with a walk. Adam Everett started at SS. He led off and went 0-3 with a strikeout, a pop out to second base and a pop out to shortstop. The first batter of the game grounded out to him, but that was the only play he had to make in the game. 

Sunday - Game 2 Miracle 0, Jupiter 8 Matt Fox started and went six strong innings. He gave up two runs on seven hits. He walked none and struck out five. Then Spencer Steedley came in and it didn't go so well. He faced six batters, four of them got hits and two walked. All six scored, and he did not record an out. Jose Lugo came in and didn't help. He gave up two hits and walked one, but did not allow any of his base runners to score. Eli Tintor was 2-3. The Miracle had just six hits.

 

BELOIT BITS
Sunday
Beloit 3, Dayton 4 Mark Dolenc continues to hit. He went 2-3 with his seventh double and 20th stolen base. Ben Revere went 1-3 with a walk. Jeanfred Brito hit his second double. Steve Hirschfeld gave up three runs (2 earned) on five hits and three walks. He struck out three. Blake Martin went three shutout innings in relief. He gave up just one hit and walked one while striking out four. Danny Hernandez got the first batter out in the 9th, but then gave up a home run to Angel Cabrera to end the game.
