VERY BRIEF NOTES

Good morning to everyone! It was a really busy Monday for me, so not much chance to write. However, today I will give you the pitching matchups for the Diamondbacks' series, which starts tonight. I will also go over how the Twins minor league affiliates. And finally, I will be posting a few other links that I really think are worth reading. So, I hope that you have a good day today, and tomorrow, I will take a look at who the Twins drafted and more!

Tonight, the Twins will get back into Inter-League play with a western trip to Phoenix to take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. Here are the pitching matchups:

Tuesday - 8:40 pm - Brad Radke (5-4, 3.73, 1.13, .276) vs Shawn Estes (4-4, 4.16, 1.37, .265)

Wednesday - 9:05 pm - Johan Santana (6-2, 3.67, 0.94, .215) vs N/A (1-0, 2.63, 1.28, .255)

Thursday - 8:40 pm - Kyle Lohse (5-3, 4.25, 1.35, .296) vs Javier Vazquez (5-4, 4.38, 1.22, .280)

TWINS MINOR LEAGUE REPORTS

ROCHESTER REDWINGS

Monday - REDWINGS 0, Norfolk 1 - The Redwings were only able to muster two singles against three Norfolk pitchers. Augie Ojeda and Jason Bartlett each had a single.  David Gassner was the tough-luck loser as he fell to 4-3. He gave up just a run on five hits and two walks. He struck out five. Beau Kemp pitched a scoreless inning.      

         

NEW BRITAIN ROCKCATS

Monday - ROCKCATS - No Games Scheduled in Eastern League.

  

FT MYERS MIRACLE

Monday - Game 1- MIRACLE 7, Dunedin 2  - In game one, the teams finished a game that only lasted an inning the day before. Adam Harben had pitched a scoreless inning, striking out three. Yesterday, Glen Perkins got the nod to start the second inning. He gave up two runs that inning, but pitched four more without allowing a run. He gave up two hits and walked a surprising four, the same number as he struck out. Josh Gray threw two one-hit innings. Jannio Gutierrez pitched a scoreless ninth. On offense, Denard Span led the way with a 3-4 day. However, he was caught stealing home and was picked off of both third and first. Matt Moses went 2-4 with his seventh home run and three RBI. Matt Tolbert went 2-3 with his first homer.  

Monday - Game 2- MIRACLE 1, Dunedin 6  - This game wasn't as good. The team had just five hits. Ron Perodin did go 2-3. Nick Blackburn fell to 5-3 with the loss. He pitched 6.2 innings. He gave up four runs on ten hits and a walk. He struck out four. Tristan Crawford came in and got the final out on a strikeout.

       

BELOIT SNAPPERS

Monday - SNAPPERS 6, Burlington 13 - Jeremy Pickrell had a nice 4-5 day. Chris Brown went 3-5 with his sixth double. Dwayne White went 2-4. David Shinskie went five innings and gave up six earned runs on eight hits and three walks. Alexander Smit had another nice relief appearance. He went three innings and gave up an unearned run on three hits and a walk. He also struck out an impressive seven batters. Evan Meek... not so impressive. He got just two outs and gave up two hits and four walks. All six runners scored. Kevin Culpepper came in for the final out.
