ASK SETH

The Twins had a day off yesterday as they traveled to the west coast. So, I actually watched a movie. Have you seen Juno?! What a great movie! Anyway, today I'm going to give the quick notes from the four Twins minor league games and then open up the Comments for your questions on the Twins, baseball in general, or the minor leaguers.

By the way, check out Nick Nelson's great article on Brian Duensing's Dilemma.

FT MYERS MEMOS

Danny Valencia was 3-4 with a walk and his second double. Brian Dinkelman went 2-4 with a walk, three runs scored and his third stolen base. Edward Ovalle went 2-4 with a walk. Kevin Slowey made the rehab start (as mentioned below) and gave up a run on a solo homer in three innings. He walked one and struck out five. Deolis Guerra came in and won his second game. He went four innings and gave up three runs (2 earned) on four hits. He walked two and struck out three. Danny Graves and Tim Lahey finished the game with a perfect inning each.

BELOIT BITS
Monday - Snappers 1, West Michigan 2
Michael Tarsi needed a game like this. The lefty fell to 0-4, but he improved his ERA to 9.78. He went all eight innings and gave up two unearned run on six hits and a walk. He struck out three. Chris Cates went 2-3 with his first double. Deibinson Romero hit his first home run.

That is it for today... unless you care that the Reds purchased the contract of utility man Jerry Hairston and to do so, they designated former Twins SS Juan Castro for assignment. Big news... I know!

Anyway, please feel free to ask questions in the Comments and I will be sure to answer them.
