Saturday Morning Notes

Good Saturday morning! It sure was frustrating waking up this morning to an inch of snow on the ground. Almost as frustrating as watching the Twins has been lately. Here are my thoughts on the Twins right now:

Now, with that, here are some Saturday morning links from around the Twins blogosphere:

·         First and foremost, just this morning, one of the longest tenured Twins bloggers called it a blogging career. Stick and Ball Guy decided that he will be shutting down the excellent World’s Greatest Online Magazine. SBG built up an incredible and thought-provoking community of writers. You could find information on the Twins, the Timberwolves, music and so much more. Having met SBG several times and some SBG Conventions and elsewhere, he is a terrific guy with a great family. He is a very successful person, and hopefully we will continue to see him around the Twins blogosphere!

·         Over at Puckett’s Pond, they are doing a series called The Winning Teams, and here is a look at the 1969 Twins.

·         Here is a look at Roger’s Minor League Report over at Twinkie Town.

·         Ed Thoma, the Baseball Outsider, wrote about Mauer, Holm and Eli Whiteside! Great stuff!

·         For the Love of the Game wrote some great Twins notes and updates and shared a bunch of great pictures.

·         Peanuts from Heaven had Two Options to write a blog post about… See what they went with.

·         Is it too early for the last paragraph of this Hitting the Foul Pole article yet? Sadly, if nothing else, it is a fair question at this point.

·         Aaron Gleeman’s up to #20 in his Top 40 Twins players.

·         Nick Nelson notes that the Twins have gone From Bad to Worst.

·         Parker Hageman asked What’s Behind the Offensive Plight?
