Ask Away...
Good morning! I have to be honest, I'm exhausted and just don't have it in my to write tonight. Just a couple of quick notes before getting to the title's topic.
Yes, I watched American Idol last night. It was the guys night. Twelve guys faced off last night and America voted, and one of them will be eliminated on Thursday. Tonight the girls sing. I don't have full-fledged thoughts on the show. Some of my normal criticisms come into play again. For instance, if someone just sings the song well, but doesn't do anything special to alter it, they are told that they need to make it their own. If they do make it their own, the judges often say either they don't have to mess with a great song, or that they did something weird. Pretty typical. I really haven't determined a favorite yet, although Chickezie could easily be that guy, but I have picked out a least favorite, vote him off the show right away! That would be Daniel Noriega. Could he have looked any more annoyed to be there and to have to deal with any criticism? Uggh! They judges were all fans of David Archuleta, and for good reason. However, I did disagree with the judges on a couple of guys. I actually really thought that Jason Castro, Garrett Haley and Luke Menard sang great!
The Pioneer Press has a Twins blog going now, and Phil Miller is doing a great job of updating it so far!
Finally, check out John Sickels' Minor League blog for his All Questions Answers posting yesterday. He took questions for a few hours from readers and then answered them right in the Comments. If you want to know anything about minor league prospects, you will definitely want to read this. John is a minor league guru and there are several Twins-related questions.
Using that concept as the idea for today, I am going to invite you to write me questions in the Comments below and I will answer them. There will be a couple of rules:
No more than two questions per poster. (subject to leniency)
Questions must be asked separately (not in the same Comment).
Questions will be taken and responded to throughout the week.
No personal questions, only Twins, Twins prospects, Baseball in general, fantasy baseball questions, and other sports topics. I'll try to answer them all as best I know how.
Please also feel free to e-mail me with questions, comments, observations, etc.
And be sure to come back tomorrow when I plan to post another Q&A with a Twins minor league prospect. I'd love to say with who, but you'll just have to check it out to find out.
Have a great day!
